Discovery
Island is an approx 11.5 acres (4.7 ha) island in Bay Lake, Florida. It
is located on Walt Disney World property in the city of Bay Lake.
Between
june 1974 and sept 1999, it was open to WDW guests as an attraction,
where they could observe its many species of plant life and animals and
birds.
Disney originally named it Treasure Island wrere you use a
boat to get accross and have an adventure , and later renamed it,
Discovery Island. It currently sits abandoned,
and Discovery Island is now the name of a land at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
